Yeah, enjoy a good break. Sans thorn, though. Thorns take the joy out of the whole break thing.

I put Cartography of War on my "read it later" list. I'll let you know what I think whenever I get around to it. Don't hold your breath, though. Sable can attest to my oft neglected reading list. Life interferes a bit with my reading schedule. I'm working on my Wallace impression, though. Your story is next!

As you know, much of the writing out there is ...not so good. I've read some books and wondered "How did that even get published?" and I think that the answer may indeed be the optimism you spoke of. Sometimes the boost people need to put their book or story out there is the idea (or delusion) that they are indeed the best writer out there. Appreciating great writing and expecting perfection of your own writing can be a detriment to actually... writing. I've told a certain great writer that I know that he is going to eventually find nothing to read that holds up to his knowledge and standard for writing. Then he'll have to write, I suppose. XD

Yeah, I've basically decided that i'm taking a break for now, although it still remains a thorn in my side. Oh well. And I have read some pretty awesome stuff recently, like Cartography of War (which is amazing but also incredibly worldbuildy, so your mileage may vary), but sometimes it just makes me go "Man, I wish I could write like this" and feel a bit sad.

Half of being a writer is getting yourself in the perfect state of optimism, I find. XD

SableTales recommended that I read your story "Grand Day Out", but that I have to read it with the proper voice and accents for full effect. Um, I'm working on that.Lol.

Hahaha, that sounds awesome. I'd love to know what they think of it if you do end up reading it to them :D

Of course, my favorite story so far is a particular OC Changeling that I believe you've read as well. I'm impatiently waiting for the next chapter.

Yeah, Prodigy is great, and I can't wait to see what Sable's been cooking. Although, from what I've heard, he's kind of in the same boat as me right now in regards to writing.

Wow. We're getting prepared to start back to school already here. I hope you get to have some fun over the holidays.
You may need a break for a while to get back in the groove of writing. Have you read anything particularly good lately?

I like a variety of stories. I enjoy witty humor, word play, interactions between characters. I enjoy some world building but can't appreciate as much as some can. My tolerance for shallow stories is....shallow. :) I like to read good family friendly stories to my younger kiddos.

Hey! :D

Not doing much right now besides some last bits of schoolwork before the summer holidays. I actually have a bunch of stories I want to finish but I'm not feeling particularly in the mood to write as of late, which is kinda annoying.

Been catching up on my reading, at least, which is cool. What kind of stories do you like?

Hi Prose!
Fancy meeting you here!
So what are you up to? Are you writing anything new at the moment?
