I live in Hong Kong. Although the social stigma of watching MLP is weaker in here (the lack of pre-G4 history and the fact that nobody knows what the heck it is. It often gets lumped together with anime, which isn't too unreasonable, I guess), it's also hard to find someone who also watch the show or even assorted merchandise. Maybe they'll carry it in some local Toy's R Us, I suppose, but there isn't one near where I live.

MRW I had the next arc planned out several months ago and already written 250k · 4:36pm Nov 28th, 2015

... And then all the major reveals (and a bagful of background settings) just got brutally untwisted by new canon development.

Guess what, this is the Year of the Horse! Let's celebrate with more commercialism Pinkie Pie!

We Chinese, of course, know how to New Year, as evidenced by the following:

Semantics of Fiction · 7:39am Jan 23rd, 2014

As someone who read fanfiction and wrote about overly meticulous details for a show about ponies, a question always hinges on my mind: what is the status of truth and falsehood about certain statements in fiction? Recently, I have encountered a passage in Daniel C. Dennett's Consciousness Explained explaining the act of interpreting human behaviour, which, incidentally also provides some simple yet good insight towards the

Mythologia 1 – The Unicorn Question · 8:34am Oct 29th, 2013

Link to Mythologia 2 – The Pegasus Puzzle

As one of the principal races of the show, unicorn is highly salient to our mind. I felt that it would be more appropriate to discuss its origins in a separate series instead of treating it as side-notes for toponyms that contains "unicorn".

The Update of the Status · 9:31am Oct 15th, 2013

To those who may be wondering where I have been slacking and sauntering, I am currently doing a little research on the history of mythical beasts and am a little stumped. I suppose I would need to take several more strolls to the local library before I can write the next blog post.

In the meantime, Alfalfa Monster!

"Dirtville" isn't that bad a name, eh? · 2:53pm Oct 1st, 2013

Many of you may have remembered how Chancellor Puddinghead, as depicted by Pinkie in the Hearth's Warming Eve Episode, famously proclaimed the name of the new land shall be "Dirtville".

In modern English, while dirt can refer to unclean substances, it can also mean something neutral such as soil or earth. However, it is lesser known that the word dirt did have a much more unsavory root in history.
