So, my ridiculous crackfic "Arthur Saxon Beats up Tirek," has been featured, I just noticed. Thanks to everyone who made this possible. I have never had a story featured on FiMFiction before, and it's pretty cool to see it happen, even if it isn't representative of the rest of my body of work.

I'm going to have this new Derpy fic submitted by the end of the week, I hope. It's nearing a final draft, but the dialog is being really touchy with me in terms of phrasing things for best effect. What's more, I'm having to piece this together very carefully so that there's enough exposition for the reader to get what's going on, but not so much that it's just "and then this happened because of this, this, and this."

I'm working on a horror-ish Derpy Nightmare Night fic. It's gonna be late (obviously) because work took too much time for me to finish it in time for Halloween. It will probably post some time next week. It's going to be the second of the series to depart from my usual policy of going for the "Everyone" rating on these fics because I just could not find a way to play horror straight and keep it within those bounds.

I don't guess anybody really follows this blog, and with as many notifications as FimFiction dumps on anyone who is in any significant number of groups, I can't say that I blame any of you.

However, for those who care, there is a new "Misadventure of Derpy Hooves" in the works. It's the longest yet, and deals a bit with Spike and his backstory. It's untitled, as yet, but I should have it finished, edited, and posted within the week.

So, we have an episode where Luna willfully manipulates dreams, and a projected potential future of Rarity as a bedraggled recluse.

I'm not normally one to say I told you so... So, I won't, but you're all thinking it.

Of course, due to the TVY rating, we didn't actually SEE the heroine, but you all know it was in there somewhere.

Let me get one quick thing out of the way:

I'm about to start going through all my stories and reformatting them so that author's notes are where they should be, given the changes to the system since many of them were written and posted. There will probably also be a bit of editing done to most of them to correct any clumsy narrative phrasing or grammatical errors I run across. No changes to the events of the stories themselves will occur, however.

Well, I posted a new Derpy fic, as promised.

I really wanted this one to be something sort of happy and comical, more like "The Greatest Day of Her Life," but as my stories tend to do, it went rogue on me. I guess Queen Chrysalis just isn't quite as primed for comedy as I had hoped. Not for me, anyway. Katy Cook doesn't seem to have trouble making her hilarious.

I had so much fun writing "A Nice Cup of Tea," that I'll probably be punching out one or two more "Misadventures of Derpy Hooves" some time in the near future. Of everything I do, that seems to be what people like the most, anyway. I've already got one idea, but I won't be starting on it for a few days, at least. Like the other two stories in that series, it probably won't run more than ten or twelve thousand words.

Keep on the lookout for it.
