Something seems to have occurred in Equestria which is slowly draining the exuberance from everything. Without any warning the populace of Equestria has been tossed into the midst of a force long since dormant since the rise of Harmony in the land.

Applejack has been stuck in a rut. She constantly compares her self to everypony else in Ponyville and while contemplating her various flaws she is asked to do something that can only make the situation worse.

The school in Ponyville is having a career day and Applebloom asked Applejack to come along and talk about work on the farm. Interesting hi-jinks will likely ensues from the CMC and the other classmates. But more importantly, what is everypony going to think about some dirty farm mare?

Even though Applejack has never had a special somepony on Hearts and Hooves day doesn't mean that no pony does and that's why Applejack has agreed to help Pinkie Pie with some major baking during the holiday considering the amount of business that Sugar Cube Corner sees. After talking with Pinkie and working through a day full of shenanigans, emotions, tears and memories,the Element of Honesty finds that there may actually be a special sompony just for her.
