I remember why I always hated working on group projects. So out of curiosity over breakfast this morning, I googled up the word count of my favorite novel series. The first book in it was 170k words, the second 213k, and while I didn't look up the other two, that makes me guess they were around the same length. It's nice to have some perspective on it as a writer, and not just as a reader. It also puts into perspective the length of my own work in comparison.

Well, her OC doesn't have a name, so I don't have a fandom name to refer to her by, but my girlfriend drew my OC for me! (I'm so hopeless at art that I just kept staring the first few minutes and forgot to answer her when she asked how it turned out.)
