I sometimes write shit. Oh yeah, and I don't censor myself so ye.
My stories are about my own original characters (friends' OCs could, perchance, make cameos). Sometimes, they interact with canon MLP: FiM characters, but I like to think that their interactions are realistic in the scope of the show. I will sometimes make up headcanon about how the FiM world works, but I try to be realistic with making it not clash with the way the show has been written. Yes, I consider the EQG movies to be canon, get over it.
I'm not going to use the FimFiction blog feature except for stuff related to the stories and my writing, so if you wanna see my social media, I'll slap a couple links in the down there.
Anyway, my stories aren't really for you, but if you have any objective constructive criticism, I will be happy to hear it.

Don't forget to make sure to publish your chaps as well as submit the story for approval. Just know that it can take anywhere from 2hrs to a few days for one of the approvers to get to it. Just depends on how busy they are. And they won't silently reject. At least my approver didn't when my first story got rejected due to lack of a proper synopsis. You can go to the staff page and PM one of the mods - I'd go with Wanderer, he's cool.

Ok, coolio. How long should I expect to wait before my story is approved? Also if there are problems, will I be told what they are, or just silently rejected?

Well, your story's total word count must be at least 1,000 words before it can be submitted and pass approval. It can be across one or several chapters. But after your story's initial approval you don't need to get approval for the rest of the chaps.
And this site does have auto-approval where you can bypass the approval process. But that will only become available once you have at least one story up (I believe) that has met their standards. Just as long as the story you auto-approve meets the requirements too you shouldn't have problems.
And I think this place is better. In my opinion at least. I came here from Fanficton after being there for a year and not having much success.
