So we finally got my downed computer up and running again, it was an incompatibility issue causing the problem but we've got that sorted out now.

I'm extremely happy and relieved to say that nothing was lost as far as I can tell, which was what I was worried about. Still got to do some reactivation things and whatnot to restore things fully (and back-up what I need to back-up like I should have done long ago. ), but everything is good.

So finally got some news about my computer to share; My dad and I finally were able to sit down and work on it but ran into an issue: For some reason it will not finishing booting up. It reaches the loading screen you get when starting whatever OS you're using just fine as far as we can tell, only to (I think) bluescreen and restart. At the moment we're thinking either there's an incompatibility issue or the drive with the OS is gone.

So I have good news, and bad news;

Good news is that I have the working motherboard and the other parts ready for putting the computer back together.

The bad news: My Graphics Card needs to be cleaned before anything can be done, believe me it's really dusty and after losing the first motherboard because of dust-induced overheating I'm not taking chances. Problem is that things are flipping bat-crap crazy right now and the card will have to wait.

So just wanted to give you guys a quick little update; turns out I actually have another motherboard at home in a currently unused computer, but it's the wrong operating system so that's going to have to be reinstalled with the right one before anything, and currently things are very busy so It might be a while yet before I'm back.

Don't worry, I'm not leaving Fimfiction, I'm just having technical problems.

Last night as I was closing the net to head off to bed my computer did one of its bluescreens, which it does once in awhile. So I restarted it thinking it was nothing, since this is far from the first time its done it and only if I'm closing several tabs at once and even then it only happens once in a while.

This time however, it didn't start up.

So it's been a bit a bit since my last blog, and I thought I'd give an update to whats going on.

So my Mom's father figure did ultimately end up moving in with us, and to my surprise very little has actually changed, other than the obvious stuff. Looking back at my past self worrying about it to the point of panicking (I have trouble with change on this level, always had) and now I can just laugh for I'm happy to have been proven wrong in this case.

Well things are going a lot better now, I've de-stressed and while things might change in the future things are good. As it turns out; Mom was, by complete accident, coloring my perception of her father figure which was in turn stressing me out. I don't know him as well as my Mom, even though I've encountered him a few times, but I will say that with my head is clear he's actually a cool guy and it's clear he cares for Mom like a daughter.
