Heh you are rapidly becoming one of my favorite people to ask that of as I love how detailed you are.

In The Soldier and Hope there were quite a few things I enjoyed. I really enjoyed the mass crossover displacement as it opened up to releasing Solar Flare from prison giving light to the overarching plot. It also added home support from the Soldier’s dimension with extra soldiers and changelings which in previous books Twilight did not have (or need).

This also gave more to my favourite subplot and part of the book of Dawn integrating herself with the Hive and becoming part changeling. This set of events massively expanded the lore of the changeling race in the Soldier’s dimension. It was also this set of events that played around with the interaction of different dimensions magics and the unintended consequences and possibilities of the interactions. With Dawn through this you can see a huge change in character. At the beginning of the book she was unsure of herself and let others take the lead. After becoming a changeling she is confident, pragmatic and cunning (though these are also general changeling traits as well).

My second favourite subplot was the integration of the body-less Hope (from now on Meadow) and Twilight. This gave a much deeper insight to Twilight’s mind as well as the infamous Reaper. The training that Meadow underwent with Reaper showed us just how focussed Reaper is on dealing with Twilight’s problems with efficiency and also protecting Twilight as well. Now Meadow also has the same skills and can use them independently of Twilight (Upgrade!). She also can’t leave Twilight because of Reaper’s possessiveness of any benefits to Twilight.

The connecting of both worlds will be very interesting for future books as well as those characters coming living in the Soldier’s dimension. I look forward to more books in The Soldier series.

tha k you for adding The Soldier and Hope to your favorites.

May I ask what you enjoy about it?

In The Soldier and the Unexpected it was the small things that gave the depth and humor to the story. Like her postponement from EDF Command and her increase in irrational happenings. It was overall quite a good funny read.

I suppose that my favorite thing about Star Eater is the time switch. It gives a great dynamic in the future as he doesn't want to let them know that he was there but keeps letting slip by his attitude or the little things he does, that he is keeping hidden a whole other personality. He is also finding out a lot about what happened after he was pulled back through time to the present, like Death's experements, and now the cloned Angels. I also like the way that while you gave him OP powers his enemy's are just as dangerous giving a good balance. All in all I have really enjoyed it and I think the story works well.

I personally think the bit where he told everypony that he has no idea what his age is was hilarious. :)
