So, I finally, finally saw The My Little Pony Movie, and it was fine, I guess. I mean, it was NOWHERE near as disappointing as Legend of Everfree. Heck, my experience with the live-action Beauty and the Beast was more disappointing than my experience with this movie.

So, I just got back from seeing The Greatest Showman with my family, and golly, I’m so glad that I decided to go see it. I was so worried that I had set my expectations up too high and that I was going to get another repeat of my experience with the live-action Beauty and the Beast. Instead, this movie exceeded my expectations, and I loved it. I was even applauding by the end. (Thankfully, the theater only had around 10 people.) Don’t bother complaining here

Okay, so the inspiration behind this post was a comment that I made on CartoonNerd12’s story Brotherhood and Sisterhood. I had commented that Sunset and Flash were good together but that Twilight and Flash were like peas and carrots. So, I recently got into the new MythBusters revival. Other than the new hosts and the updated graphics and opening sequence, the show is pretty much everything that I’ve learned to expect from from the old incarnation, science, engineering, and explosions.           So, last year in March, I wrote that I was okay with seeing characters that I don’t sympathize with get redeemed.  I was mainly talking about Starlight Glimmer, but in the process of giving my reasons for supporting the redemption of unsympathetic characters, I ended up comparing her to Kylo Ren from the newer Star Wars trilogy movies.  You see, I had written that if Kylo didn’t get redeemed, then his father would have died for nothing.
