Okay, so the inspiration behind this post was a comment that I made on CartoonNerd12’s story Brotherhood and Sisterhood. I had commented that Sunset and Flash were good together but that Twilight and Flash were like peas and carrots. That made me wonder what Sunset and Flash would be if they were a food combo, which led to me wondering what Timber Spruce and Twilight would be if they were a combo. So, lets get started, shall we?
Flash and Twilight: Peas and Carrots
I like peas, and I like carrots. I love them together. Similarly, I like Flash, I like Twilight, and I love FlashLight. Furthermore, my mom kept a ton of frozen peas and carrots on hand growing up, so peas and carrots just fill me with this homey, fuzzy feeling. I get a case of the warm fuzzies with FlashLight too.
Flash and Sunset: Beans and Sweet Potatoes
Okay, I’ll admit that I’ve never tried beans and sweet potatoes together. However, I have seen plenty of recipes with both those vegetables together, so I know that the combination works at least conceptually. Besides, I like beans, and I like sweet potatoes. If you combined them and put them in front of me, I’ll eat it and maybe even like it. Similarly, I like Flash and Sunset separately and wouldn’t mind the two of them together.
Timber and Twilight: Liver and Rice
I hate liver. The only way I’ve been able to eat it without being absolutely disgusted was in Cajun boudin, meaning it was chopped super fine and then buried under ground pork and a ton of strong spices. Similarly, the only way Hasbro can possibly make me like Timber Spruce is to make him as absent as possible.
On the other hand, I love rice. Rice was the cornerstone of most of my meals growing up, so rice gives me a lot of positive feelings. However, adding liver to it totally ruins it because the rice soaks up the liver taste. Similarly, I love Twilight, but I hate her with Timber. I mean, I wouldn’t go so far as to say that Timber brings out the worst in her, but he doesn’t bring out anything good either. (Okay, I guess one can argue something similar about Flash, but the warm fuzzies override that for me.)
Thoughts on what dish Sunset and Twilight would be?

Umm, I have no intention of disappointing you, but I can't really picture any of the characters as lesbians. I mean, a lot people say that the girls act too affectionately with one another to not be lesbians, but just based on my personal experience, I know that friends can be that affectionate and still be straight, so I guess I just assume they're straight because sexual orientation doesn't really explicitly come up on the show.
I kind of think of the girls as a box of assorted Popsicles, and Twilight and Sunset are two flavors of Popsicle from the same box. Sunset would be strawberry lemonade, and Twilight would be, hmm, maybe mixed berry.
