After two years of mostly nothing coming out of my fingers, I've finally been graced with a monsoon of inspiration for Mum's Diner.
I've had a fascination with languages for a long time, though I've never managed to actually learn enough of any one language to become fluent in it (English excluded). I've picked up bits of Latin, Spanish, German, Russian, and Japanese but I couldn't hold a conversation in any of them. At best, I can fake my way through reading Spanish. But I find all of it interesting even to just know a little.
There's just something about it that I keep coming back for. I'll watch it on repeat a dozen times then just kinda forget about it for a while. The something sparks in the back of my mind and I go digging around to find it again because I can never remember the artist or title. I don't even know how I found it in the first place.
"A chapter a month" I said.
"They'll be short" I said.
"It'll be easy" I said.
Forget whatever I said about regular updates. I'll be updating whenever the muse gets around to whispering in my ear.
It's been hard to focus on writing. I get home from work and it's all I can do to just veg out until bedtime. Weekends are better, but I have other hobbies taking up my time too.
I've mentioned previously, that I've had ideas kicking around in my head for a while about a sequel to Sweet Nothings. Well, I guess it's finally happening. I present to you: Mum's Diner.

Just recently was one at a high school in Florida, which has been the main impetus for me to talk about my own experience on the matter.
