This story is a sequel to Cruel Beauty

Deep beneath the Crystal Empire lay the catacombs. Within them The excavates found something. its discovery let to Luna wasting no time in travailing there, even forgetting her duties in the process.
What they found was the crystallized body of the stallion that had once been her friend. She held a hope that the spell that made him that way could be undone, yet it would not be easy. The unfortunate situation being He was far more adept at the breaking of spells than she.
His grim-war remained.. it may help. Yet She couldn't read it. so that leaved only one pony she knew that could.

Twiight must read it and find a way, yet first, he left a way to share his memories and life so others dont make his same mistakes.

History unfolds for her and is told in the most unromantic way possible.. from the eyes of a pony who's sword often dripped in the blood of his fellow ponies..
