This is the episode that Hasbro decided to air for FiM's fifth anniversary, and what an episode it is! It has so much packed into it, and so many twists, that it could stand as two or three episodes, if only we had the time.
The Plot
This one took me between 4.5 and 5 hours to build, partly because I was painting as I went. I used silver marker under the clear blue pieces, and of course I painted the sword and end of the scabbard. I would have used black marker instead of the stickers for the shoulders and ankles, but mine don't stay well if you're going to touch it often.
After the Arios, this felt like a much more straightforward build. Mind you, it still comes with its challenges: small stickers and long stickers. Boy, are there lots of these long, reflective stickers. Miss their alignment just a little and it throws the whole image out of whack, but hit the target and it looks fantastic.
Today is October 21st, 2015, the day to which Doc Brown and Marty McFly travelled in Back to the Future II. The future is now! Too bad it's so underwhelming compared to the film's vision of the future. I mean, I'm glad fashion isn't usually so loud, but I could do with self-tying laces, auto-fit and dry clothes, and of course, hoverboards. There may also not be any consumer-safe flying cars, food hydrators, or 3D projectors that do not also require special lenses but they did get

On first watch I liked this less than Rainbow Rocks, but on seeing some reactions and further viewings I have come to enjoy some of the implications that this movie brings up more. The plot and pacing still aren't at the same level as in Rainbow Rocks, but the character development for those characters on whom there is focus, as well as the animation and effects, are superb.

Okay, I'll admit it: I've been letting myself get lazy recently. Sometimes I can go several weeks without writing anything new. It's not always the case that I don't know what to write, I just feel a little... blown-over. In this case, I know exactly what I want to happen.
