I'm trying to finish the seventh chapter of NE and to be honest, my writing is mostly being driven by the fact that I want to keep my mind occupied.

I got a rash on my neck last night and today I feel feverish, so I have stopped taking the meds and tomorrow I'm going to the doctor (I couldn't get an appointment today). Writing is the only thing keeping me marginally sane at the moment.

I'm not dying or anything. I went into one for a research study on BP brains, which I got paid for (woohoo!).

I always assumed the scanner would make this loud clanging or thumping sound because that's what I'd heard in the movies. Admittedly the movie that first comes to mind is The Exorcist, so I think I'm a BIT dated on that front, but as far as I'm aware, most other popular media use the big clanging sound as well.
