It's worth noting that these people did not leave criticisms of the story content itself in the comments, but seemed to simply dislike the premise—as if such a premise could not be made into a good story.

Well, here's some good news. The cover art is essentially complete. Just a tiny error correction for the artist and it'll be done and visible on her own gallery. Chapter One is also quite nearly finished and ready to be published. Chapters 2-8 are currently "clean drafted" with complete content, but need to be edited for good structure and flow.

Well, time to write some dialog for a new character to the story. When I get ready to write in a pre-existing character, I always like to take a moment to study them a bit first so that I can get the characterization right. Interesting thing about Derpy though, is that she really doesn't have any canon characterization, other than perhaps being clumsy. Perhaps too clumsy.
