Well, I've had a hectic week, and not in a good way. Family problems have been making writing rather more difficult than normal, which is a pain, but what can you do?

On the bright side I have a bit of news for fans of The Longest Night. The side-quel is coming along and finally has a name. UAS is now going under the name of 'Myths and Birthrights'. I also just put some more polishing touches on the synopsis, so all I am technically missing now is the cover art and it's good to go! YAY!

I'm sorry everyone, but it's looking more and more like I am going to miss this Monday's story update as well. Chapter 20 of SotA is just under 4k words in length and a broken disjointed mess of scenes.

To my pre-readers/editors/Knights of the Red Pen; chapter 2 of UAS isn't in much better condition. But, hay, you made Chapter 1 into something great. Now to hopefully come up with a name and synopsis for the story some day.

As you may have heard, the replica 18th century sailing ship Bounty sunk during Hurricane Sandy. At the writing of this blog the only missing member of the crew is her captain.

She was a beautiful ship, and I wish I had taken the chance to board and see her in person years ago when I had the chance. My younger brothers and mother took the oppertunity. I didn't because of the pesky fact that she was being used for filming of Pirates 2 and 3 at the time and my anxiety in regards to people.

Since I've hit a rather large snag with SotA and it'll be a few days until the next chapter of that story is ready to go, I thought I'd at least give everyone a heads-up on what's going on with UAS.

As you may have guessed, it's still unnamed. I honestly have no clue what to title the story at this point. I'll probably ask for some help with that later down the road, but we'll see.

So, after a stressful weekend of hand wringing and anticipation in which I got hardly any sleep, I went to go have a nap having been somewhat reassured that people were enjoying The Longest Night. I woke up to the Longest Night sitting just inside the Featured Box (if the mature filter is disabled). That... that knocked me out of my chair. I never thought I'd ever get close to the Featured Box.
