So, I entered the Writeoff this week. Finally. Been meaning to do it for ages but every time I have a decent idea for the prompt I end up sleeping the entire weekend away. Almost happened again! But I managed to wake up with two hours to spare and crank something out last minute.

And I'm now having a damned panic attack about how I ended the story and I kind of want to blow up the entire Internet so nobody will ever read it or know it existed except for me. Wish me luck, I guess.

Funny story though: My two sisters who aren't at all related to each other both had babies on the same day exactly one year apart. Easier for me to remember birthdays, but double the present costs in a few years. Trade offs are hard.

I just finished it a moment ago. I'm too emotionally drained to go into much detail at the moment, but suffice it to say it was well worth the 22 episodes. Nothing genre breaking, but I feel the execution was impeccable. If John Green was Japanese and made anime, this would have been his. I am nothing if not a damned sucker for this sort of thing.

I need a stiff drink and a long weekend of mainstream shonen junk to clean out my emotional lint-trap. It's so full right now.

It's been going well. Tonight, according to my app, was supposed to be my first big 5k run. 3.1 miles for us Americans. I'd been doing ~2-2.5 miles two or three times a week so I figured, hey, no big deal.

And I was right. Wouldn't have been a big deal at all, except I screwed up my pacing trying to get fancy by mixing in a faster job on one of my short blocks. Only pulled 2.8 miles in the allotted time. So, sucks to be me. Back at it again on Monday, this time without screwing around.
