Cover art for stories is important, and difficult. The difficulty is compounded by my lack of artistic talent. Even basic Photoshop stuff is tricky. It's not so bad when a story is inspired directly by an episode, since I can just fire up an episode and take a semi-appropriate screenshot and call it a day.

But when it's not? I'm not sure what to do about that. I'm not quite vain enough to commission art for ~3500 words, but I can't really make things myself.

Maybe it's time to get good?

It was pretty good. Unfortunately, it really didn't feel like a complete season of anything at all. It's only 4 twenty-five minute episodes, and that's incredibly disappointing. That said, the voice work, animation, and writing are all very solid, and it doesn't require a pre-existing working knowledge of the games to enjoy. If you're bored, check it out on Netflix.

Just watched the actual, last episode of Samurai Jack. The series finale.

Wow. It's a littlerushed to fit what it has to in 30 minutes, but it's damned near perfect otherwise. Sixteen years in the making. Twelve years in the waiting. Ten weeks in the watching.

Every second was worth it.

Largest of my hard drives took a shit on my today. 1.5 terabytes of data just gone. Recovery tools aren't helping. So, shit. This is why I started putting the most important things into a nested cloud system, but damn. Most of that data was movies and anime I accrued over several years. I keep a few key things backed up to my laptop but not anywhere close to all of it. It was also my primary bulk game drive, so half my steam library and most of my Blizzard catalog have to be redownloaded.

So I just knocked out the last 10 episodes of season six, because I'm slow. All-in-all I think it went great. Top Bolt was a great in particular, I think. And the finale, of course. Someone described it as "Guardians to the usual Avengers team up" and that seems apt. I actually got chills in part one when Discord finds out Fluttershy was kidnapped and he leans down and lets out that quiet, menacing, "where." deLancie delivered that line
