Season 6 Premier [Spoilers] · 9:13pm Mar 27th, 2016
I have ham waiting for me, so I'll be brief.
I liked it. Starlight shows signs of trying to be a better mare, but she hasn't lost her manipulative charm. Spike yucks up the hero angle, a new avenue of growth opens up for Twilight, and AJ and Rarity throw some goo-goo eyes at each other and it's hilariously platonic. Shining Armor and Cadance are thoroughly and realistically exhausted by their new role as parents. Perhaps the nicest touch is the naming of Flurry Heart. It's not just something pulled out of thin air. She's named for the nation destroying catastrophe she caused, and I love it.
Babies truly are a pox upon all life.
Now, perhaps most importantly is this little tid-bit that someone noticed in the background as the episode was ending.
