I've been thinking about this sub-plot featuring Scootaloo and Spike. As you know, the only (so far) chapter focussing on it is marked as an 'interlude'. I'm wondering whether it would be better to separate the two plots entirely (they aren't really connected all that much), and make a new side-story focussing solely on the pair.
