That was relatively quick, wasn't it? EqD says no. It's mechanically sound, but just doesn't have that special spark. We have critiques like:

"small elements that really make it come to life (the facial ticks, the small sensory details, etc.) are a bit lacking"
"neither the hook to draw readers in nor the strong groundwork to really set the scene"

Spammity updates nobody wants! YAY!

Alright, the first two chapters (Who writes 3k word chapters these days? That's so TINY!) of my current effort have been shoved into EqD's gaping maw. I'm not going to go speeding off making a billion more chapters while I wait to hear back, but I don't plan on doing nothing but idling either. I know a lot of watchers (in general, not specific to me) like seeing new stories go up. This will alert you, but it won't do that, and I'm slightly sorry for getting your hopes up. I'm just asserting that I am not dead or anything like that since it's been so long since I've done anything.
