Don't despair about the one-shot I just threw out. I do that sometimes. Science is still the 'active' story and now that the holiday season is over it should return to a more reasonable update schedule. Though honestly it is a LOT closer to the end than you'd think. Probably less than five chapters to go.

I've come to some conclusions regarding my motivations for writing and the time I have to do it and this ridiculous little story. I'm just going to continue it over here, unrevised and unpolished, and not worry about putting this on EqD. I apologize for the time that the chapters were unavailable. I'm going to republish the first five now, unaltered so nobody needs to re-read them, and then put up chapter six a little later tonight.

Sorry about the delay. It took a LONG time to hear back from EqD for some reason.

I've temporarily unpublished the chapters of Science. I got back some suggestions from EqD prereaders that I think are worth taking, but I'm generally STRONGLY against altering a fic once it's already out there. I don't like fracturing the reader base between those who read the old version and the new version.

Not dead, still around, still planning on writing. Just been a busy... week or two? It seems like it's been longer, but I guess I've gotten used to doing things a lot more frequently so this feels slow to me. Bunch of dumb stuff happened/is happening, everything's fine I'm just losing time.

Expect more writing to fall out of me and land in here some time in the next week, and then I'll see if I can't get back onto a faster schedule.

So hey, since finishing that other story I haven't written anything. Then today I got this idea and I wrote this. The end. A one shot, done in one draft, in one night.

It's imperfect, but fun.

Fair warning folks, this shit's about to get HEAVY. Take notes if you have to. Once again, I assure you there is a coherent explanation for everything. You might have smelled it coming, but there's something gumming up the machine BESIDES Twilight's time travel spell.

Double Rainbow has received a tiny handful of 1-2 word updates. Just weird editorial issues that slipped in.

No I will not start tagging these silly blog posts as being related to the story, they aren't important and I don't want everypony to get their hopes up when they see "OOH A RELATED POST!!!" just to realize it means nothing or that I claim an update is coming in x hours (which is probably always inaccurate anyway)..

No, I didn't get much time to work on fics since the last update. What with season 2 going craziness and all, plus some unusual social engagements I couldn't easily back out of (not that I'd have wanted to).

So the last 48 hours turned out more... interesting than originally planned. For now I've scrapped the short one shot story I was going to do.

I'll keep throwing up more Double Rainbow chapters, and I'm going to start planning my next large story that DOESN'T have ridiculous time shenanigans to keep track of. I DO want to do a one-shot, but I've decided against my previous concept for that. We'll see if i can come up with anything interesting for one.
