On the Sliding Scale Of Cynicism Vs. Idealism, I like to think of myself as being idyllically cynical. (Patreon, Ko-Fi.)

In most cases, just about every writer will bring their own spin to established characters. I'm one of those who frequently feels more like I'm watching the action from a short distance away more than I'm making anything take place, but the little changes happen with me as much as anyone else. Eight chapters into the larger story and while I still think the known cast is recognizable as themselves -- at least to the point where open revolts could be minimal (oh, who am I kidding: at this

One of the slightly more frustrating aspects of writing this story is that I'm doing exactly that on FIMFic: I'm writing this story -- and practically nothing else. I haven't gotten to read much lately or start putting my own Favorites on things. There's been no launch into investigating the mysterious world of Groups. The only conversations I can really join are strictly local ones and those? Don't really exist. All I can do is place a new chapter into the shadows every two or three days

At least I didn't bake it. · 2:15pm May 17th, 2013

I have chronic cycles of insomnia where I sleep badly or barely for several days, generally reaching a point where I'm able to function -- but don't really want to. I'm just coming out of one now. I just ordered MLP: FIM: Season #2 and Dexter: Season #7.

I wanted to make Amazon's recommendation program cry.

I probably don't want to know if anyone's written that crossover, do I?

I hereby grant permission to FIMFic's writers to take the Jury Duty concept and use it to show any other characters of their choice being rejected from service. (A little 'original concept by Estee' at the end of each would be nice, along with a notice of having written a new one.)

After all, all the ponies in this jury pool are crazy.

So far, the single most annoying part of trying to write in this setting is finding every last stray incidence of 'someone', 'anyone', 'everyone', 'everybody', 'no one', and a few other not-so-usual suspects and then stepping on them repeatedly until they die. It is hard to get into the mindset where the pony variants come out naturally: there's just too much training the other way. I'm starting to consider myself lucky if I only have to perform less than a dozen swaps
