It's been a couple of months since I last posted a blog on this site, so I felt it was about time that I explained what was going on regarding my story.

It's been a couple of weeks since I've finished my most recent chapter. Given my recent artistic endeavors, it's taken awhile for me to collect my thoughts on the subject. Now that I have, I think it's time to share them.

First, I am excited that I managed to complete this incredibly important chapter. It's the first chapter I've been wholeheartedly content with for quite some time now, and I believe I hit every note I wanted to hit with it. Now all that's left is the rest of the story.

Though I didn't originally plan it that way, I find it fitting that Chapter 19 be the 2nd longest chapter I've written to date, and I'm overjoyed that it didn't take me three months to write it. If I can finish Chapter 20 by around this time next month, I think I can safely say that I'm back on the right track with my writing.

It's finally happened.

I've finally finished a chapter again in a little over a month. However, now's not the time to celebrate. I need to keep up this momentum if I still intend to get this next chapter done by February. With any luck, I can identify what I did wrong in this last chapter and avoid making the same mistakes for the next one. I already know one change that needs to happen, so maybe there's hope I can still pull this off.

Though this is a momentous occasion for me, finishing my next chapter after all this time, there's actually not too much for me to say other than I hope it proves worth the wait. I'm sure even after all the editing I've done it could still use some more, but it should be good enough for the time being. I'm hoping I can publish Chapter 18 within the month of December. As long as I can continue to commit to my daily writing goal, I think I can actually do it this time. I wish you all the best!

I find it so disappointing how little progress I've made over the past four months. I was supposed to be done with this chapter three months ago, and I've only just recently been able to write it again. I knew this would be a challenge when I first started writing this story, but I think I've finally put my foot in the door on this whole 'burnout' thing. Today marks a day of relative interest. It's officially been one year since I submitted my story to this site. All that time and we're still in March. I was hoping to be ready to submit by today, but I'm still about one more draft away from being ready with this chapter. In the meantime, I just wanted to thank everyone who gave the story a chance within the past 365 days. It really is amazing how much has changed with it in that amount of time.

I've finished my most recent chapter. It's the longest chapter I've written to date, which has nothing to do with the fact it's the longest chapter I've taken to write. I've spent quite a bit of time seeing if I could find a way to cut down the size, but as far as I know, every section of chapter was necessary and couldn't be pushed back. I also made a new cover art. I think it looks much better than my old one, though I'm still keeping the old one on my deviantArt account as a keepsake.
