I'm taking a little break from writing for the rest of the month. I've got six monsters, seven colossi, and two golems to slay on top of trying to write my story, and it just seems like anything I'd be able to write in this state would be substandard. There was something of a major project I had to take care of this past week, so I haven't been able to make any actual progress on the next chapter yet. Instead, this past week has been spent brainstorming, and I think I've got the whole chapter mapped out now. My plan right now is to be finished with the second draft by the end of the month. Once that's done, I can do the last two drafts in about half that time, and I'll be done about a week before making everyone wait another month.

I told you this chapter would be long. Turns out it's about twice as long as one of my normal chapters, so technically, you could say this chapter isn't late at all. That makes sense, right? Because that's what I'm going with. Now I just hope for the sake of all things possible that this chapter sets the standard of maximum chapter length.
