The Great Mishap

Chapter 2: The Reveal

After school, I managed to catch up with the new girl as she was walking toward the parking lot. "You said you were from out of country, what country did you come from?" I asked.

Rachel looked around and pulled me off to the side and said, "I know you probably won't believe me when I tell you this, but I am not from this world. I am from Equestria."

I just looked at her, my mouth a little agape. What!? She thinks she is from Equestria? I thought that was just a made up land for a TV show? I thought to myself. I, seeing that she was waiting for a response, shook my head clear and asked, "Uh, really? I thought that was just from a TV show."

She looked away, angrily. "I knew that you wouldn't believe me," she said as she started to turn away.

"Wait! I didn't mean it like that!" I said, grabbing her hand to stop her from going.

"So, what did you mean?" She asked, looking into my eyes.

I then realized that I was still holding her hand and quickly let go, a little embarrassed. "I meant that...I...uh......" I trailed off, standing there awkwardly for a few seconds until Rachel pulled me out of my daze.

"Would you like to know my name then? Or are you just going to stand there with that look on your face?" Rachel asked.

"OK, OK, I'll guess, jeez," I said, closing my eyes to think. Her initials are RD, like Rainbow Dash, but that would make too much sense..... aw screw it, it's the best I got. I open my eyes. "Rainbow Dash? Is that you?" I asked.

She smiled a little, and then answered, "Yep, you got it right."

Again, I just stood there, mouth agape again. Then, gaining my composure, I asked, "So how did you get here?"

"You probably could guess it but I'll tell you, it was Twilight, you know who she is right?" Rachel, or now RD, asked.

"Oh, yeah, should have known, its just like My Little Dashie." I said, thinking out loud.

"My Little Dashie? What is that?" RD asked, looking a little confused.

"Don't worry about it, I was just thinking out loud." I said quickly, not wanting to get on that subject. "So, were you the only one who got teleported here?"

She looked down at her feet. "I'm not sure. If they were teleported too, they were nowhere to be seen when I woke up here" She said.

"Oh, I see...." I replied, then, noticing that mostly everyone else had left already, I asked her, "Do you have anywhere to sleep?"

"No, not really." RD said.

"Would you like to come with me to my house?" I asked, a little smile on my face.

A little flash of doubt flashed across her face. "You sure? Is it OK?" She asked.

"It's no problem at all! Come on, my car is right over he---" I stopped as I see my car. How did I not see this coming.... I think to myself. My car is covered in about two dozen eggs, and window paint saying, "You brony freak, where is your 'magic of friendship' now?" I turned back to RD and said, trying to chuckle, "Sorry about the mess... some people here really don't like me..." I opened the trunk and pulled out some towels and attempted to clean off the mess.

After about five minutes, RD came over from where she had sit down and asked, "Do you need help?"

I looked up at her and said, "I you don't mind, I would appreciate it." I got up and grabbed another towel and handed it to her. When we were about done with what we could clean, Rainbow Dash asked, "Why do those people dislike you?"

Sighing inwardly a little, I said, "Its that TV show mentioned before. Some people can't see why me and my friends watch it."

Rainbow, looking confused, asked, "So, you are picked on just for watching a TV show? That's weird..." She said the last part almost to herself. Shaking herself out of it, RD said, "Well, looks like we can't do any more now. Shall we go?"

Looking at the car, I said, "Sure, I can finish this up later." So we got into the car and pulled out of the parking lot and left for my house.

Meanwhile, in Equestria!

Spike walked up to the Ponyville Library, also known as Twilight Sparkle's house, thinking out loud to himself, "Man was that a good vacation. Wish it was longer, but hey, what am I complaining about, I'm glad to be back and ready to help Twilight!"

When he was almost to the entrance, a new pony named Thunder Flash, and light brown Pegasus with brownish orange hair and a magnifying glass as his cutie mark, walked up to him and asked, "Have you seen Twilight? She was going to help me this morning but she never showed up."

Spike, not understanding, asked, "What do you mean, 'never showed up'? Twilight never misses her appointments. Let me go ask her." When he was saying the last sentence, Spike turned around and opened the door to the library and saw the mess that had occurred when Twi's telescope had malfunctioned.

"WHAT HAPPENED?" Spike and Thunder exclaimed at the same time. Books were scattered everywhere, papers were stuck on the windows, there were some burn marks on the bookcases. "Twilight?" Spike called as he walked inside. He called again three more times, each being louder than the previous one. When he got no answer, he turned to Thunder Flash and said, "You stay here. I'm going to find the others." With that Spike turned and ran out the door towards Sweet Apple Acres. When Spike had left, Thunder started looking around the place to see if he could find anything that would help determine what happened. While he was looking, he failed to notice the strange noise coming from the far corner of the room.....

Hello sir. I was wondering when your next chapter is to be released.

First off, let me apologize for not posting in a long time. I have been extremely busy with school, band, boy scouts, and other parts of my life.
Second, I cannot say for sure when I will get the next chapter up. I will try everything in my power to try to finish it, but as I said, I am very busy right now.
