A Nutcracker Tale

Part 1: The Party

Twas the night before Christmas Eve and all of the ponies were celebrating Christmas at Twilight's house.

"All right everypony," shouted Rarity with an energetic voice "time to open our gifts."

Everypony then headed towards the tree which had a lot of colorful gifts under it.

"Who wants to go first?" said Spike as he ran downstairs to were everypony else was.

"Memememememe, I wanna go first" said Pinkie Pie as she waved her hoof up in the air so everypony could see that she wanted to be the first to open her gift.

"Hold yer trott'n everypony," said Applejack as she interrupted Pinkie Pie "since were here at Twilight's house I reckon that she should be the one to open up her gift."

"I agree with you darling, after all, this is a day to be caring and giving with everypony, so go on ahead dear."

"Gee girls, you don't have to be this nice to me, you should be the first ones to open you're presents, not me, I've got plenty of time for that," said Twilight as she tried to back up from the situation.

"Nonono, you have to be the one Twilight" said Rarity

"I already told you-"

"WILL YOU PLEASE JUST OPEN YOUR GIFT TWILIGHT!!!!!" cried out Rainbow Dash, apparently eager to open her gift for she was shaking it to find out what it was.

"All right all right, I'll open mine first"

As she said this, Twilight went over to the tree and looked for her gift. When she found it, she was not surprised by the type of rapping, it was clearly her's for it had her cutie-mark on one of the sides. "I wonder what it is" she then lifted it and untapped it with her magic. There was a little brown box beneath all of that wrapping and she then found a note attached to the side of the box, it said:

My dearest Twilight, instead of Santa Hoofs giving you this years gift, I have decided that it would be best if I gave you you're gift. I hope you enjoy it and that you learn much from it.

After reading this, Twilight opened the box and lifted (with her magic) the figure of a purple stallion whose cutie-mark was the same as Twilight's. He was dressed like a prince with a sword that he held on with his hoof proudly. His snout had teeth that were straight and, if you moved his tail, his snout would opened and closed.

"A ponycracker" murmured Twilight as she stared at it with her mouth opened and with her eyes, that shone brighter then any star.

"It's, umm, very... nice?" said Fluttershy shyly as she looked at it.

Ignoring all of the stares she recieved, Twilight made her way up to her bedroom and laid on her bed, just staring at the ponycracker.

"Oh my, look at this girls" said Futtershy trying to get everyones attention from Twilight and at the same time turning to the tree as she looked for her gift "look at what Santa Hoofs brought me."

"What is it" said rainbow Dash eagerly

"Yes, you must simply tell us" said arity as she glanced a worried look over to Twilight

''It's a tea drinking set for me and the animals" she said as she turned around to show everypony with a smile "I really do hope that angel likes it as much as I do..."

"Mah turn" said Applejack

...

While everypony was downstairs opening their gifts, Twilight was lying on her bed, moving the ponycracker around with her magic, trying to inspect it. "It's beautifull and all, but, what does Celestia want me to learn from it? *sigh* Her and her endless riddles thought Twilight as she rolled her eyes.

"Hey Twilight, look at what Santa Hoofs got me" said Spike in a cheery tone and raising up his wooden airplane so Twilight could see, this whoever made Twilight flinch and drop the ponycracker onto her belly and onto the floor.

"SPIKE!!!!!!!!" this caused everypony downstairs to look up "You broke my present!!!!!!! Just look at it." said Twilight as she pointed down to her ponycracker (wich had a broken hoof on were he held his sword) and forced Spike with her magic to look at it.

"Oh, uh, I just remeber I had somethin to do back at the farm now, uh I'l be going now" said applejack as she grabed her new hat and trotted of the library.

" And I forgot that I have to go get Sweetie Bellcfrom the, umm, school" said Rarity as she picked up with her magic her brand new ribbon case and put a white ribbon on the floor before trotting out.

"And I have to give the weather forcast to my boss" said Rainbow as she picked her imitate wonderbolts uniform and her signed picture of them before flying out through the window.

"I have to go take care of a new tree I planted" said Fluttershy as she grabbed her new te set in the mouth and Pinkie Pie's new and freekishly big party hat, and then started to push Pinkie out of the building in a delicate manner.

"But, why do we have to go already, the party just started"

"Goodbye, see you, umm tomorrow?" said Fluttershy as she closed the door

...

"I'm sorry Twigh-"

"It's ruined!!!" said Twilight angrily as shy started to cry and went downstairs with the ponycracker "It' ruined" she murmured to herself as she sat down in front of the ribbon.

Not to make matters whorse, Spike then headed to the back room, where he had an extra bed just for times like this one

Twilight then tied a stong not with the ribbon around the pony's shoulder "It will have to do" she then went upstairs, leaving the ponycracker on the floor, and went to bed.

Not even ten minutes passed by when you could already hear the soft snore of a baby dagon, and the still whimpering, but sleeping Twilight.

I this story already complete? It seems like it only just started, I wanted to read more...

... so many errors. A lot of the characters felt OCC, Twilight wouldn't just snap at Spike like that, and the girls would not just run out like that if she did. Rarity, Applejack, and Fluttershy particularly would try to calm Twilight down and explain it wasn't really his fault or intent. Pinkie Pie would try to make everyone smile, and Rainbow Dash would probably do the whole loyalty thing and stand up for Spike.
