One odd encounter

The unknown chapter 2: Locked in a castle

"Why isn't it working? They've given up! What's going on? She said this would work!"

"Who?" Owlicous asked.

"Hay Flower!" Twilight exclaimed.

"But my wings, they're still here! And do is my immorality! I've got to get rid of them both! For my friends! My friends... I shouldn't be inside my room like this. But I have to. It's the only way... Oh... I wish my friends were here. They could brighten me up. At least I have you, Owlicous. Now if only Spike and everypony else could be here. If only..."

Owlicous hooted and nuzzled her. He flew away and brought back a picture of her friends. Twilight sighed.

"No. I can't. I just... Can't. I'm going to bed. Good night, Owlicous." She said as she got up.

Owlicous hooted in reply, and flew off. Twilight grabbed the picture as she climbed the stairs up to her room. She sat it down. And sighed, trying to keep tears from flowing. "Good night …my friends."
