Dear Diary.

Today Derpy gave me a diary, that would be you.
She said it would "help" me but I don't need helping with anything, maybe it is to help me write but I am truly not sure.
For breakfast, I ate pancakes.

My feelings keep growing for Derpy, I think I may be in love.

Today I am going to ask Derpy on a date.

I chickened out at the last second, I feel depressed.

Today I was invited to Canterlot by Princess Celestia, I feel excited.
I shall wear my finest clothing.

PS. I ate waffles for breakfast, the syrup was nice.

Dear Diary.

Princess Celestia had to cancel the invitation due to a storm, guess I can't wear my fancy pants clothing.
Derpy and I are going to lunch, hopefully I have the courage to ask her to a date.

Derpy and I had lunch, it was fantastic.
I had a salad and she had a basket of muffins.
Diary, I'm in love...

Today I will confess my love to Derpy, I finally have the balls to do it.
Pancakes for breakfast, yummy they were.

I finally confessed my love and asked Derpy for a date... She said yes to go on a date!
Well... I didn't say I loved her, that would be awkward if she didn't love me back.
We have planned our date and we shall have it in 6 days, the 10 day anniversary of you, Diary.

The Doctor in your story is simplistic, puerile, and terse.

I don't know if you've EVER watched Doctor Who, but this is NOT his character in ANY incarnation.
