So, like any normal author who writes fanfiction about a pony named Anon, I often browse the oc:filly anon tag on Derpibooru. Well, today while taking a look in there, I found something that really, really made me smile. Sure, these aren't my bug, Anonymous Flicker, but it's great to finally see some changeling queen Anon arts out there. I still positively squeed when I saw them. They're just too precious not to share.

After that is posted on Monday, I will be putting Diaries on a release and potential work hiatus until the new year. More thought needs to be put into the story's central final arc. As we recently passed the 200k word mark, I've reflected on the story and the path it's taken. As time has gone on, we slowly started slipping out of the domain of Slice of Life, and as of having written the finale of the Manehattan arc last night, I can safely say that SoL is no longer an appropriate tag. Anon-a-miss confrontation... a fight scene... grievous bodily harm. The start of the chapter immediately following that, will be solely set in Equestria though.

Been a bit distracted, so I haven't had as much time to work on Entry 27 as I'd have liked. My intent is to continue working on it during the week. I've already got ~3000 words completed, but for a bit in the last week (starting on the 24th) I developed something of a 'sleep disorder' more commonly known as Powerwash Simulator. But hey, I'm aiming to have a longer chapter this week.

Hell, I don't deny that some scenes are a struggle because the faulty wetware I was provided can't adequately translate these ideas I have into words. You'd have thought I'd have had Entry 16 out by now... In fact, my plan as of yesterday morning was to have it out by today.

Sorry about poofing like I did for a bit, folks. Was dealing with a bit of writer's block regarding Entry 13. At the same time, I found myself inadvertently planning out one of the future story arcs. The plan itself is pretty vivid inside my head now. That's beside the point however. Entry 13, and the end of the first arc has been finished, and will be posted at some point this week, pending final review. At present, the chapter comes out at just under 6.8k words.

Due to events not entirely within my own control, I've been forced into a rather negative headspace not conducive to writing. Until I've had time to settle my beleaguered mind, I won't be touching the partially finished chapter I've got. I've learned my lesson about writing while in a negative headspace after the Alchemist's Heart's case.

I hope you'll all forgive me.

To all you who've been enjoying the Diaries of the Anonymous Filly, would you rather longer chapters when applicable, or for them to be broken up into two-parters to keep with a more uniform length? As it stands, the first portion of Entry 3 has gone on far longer than I expected it to (4378 words), and there's still an entire second arc to consider.

I'll be away from my machine for a little bit this afternoon, but I hope that those of you who see this will weigh in.
