So I know I've been pretty absent for the better part of this year, and while a big part of that was a generally being unsatisfied with where Enchanted stands in its overall quality - to the point where I was seriously considering rewriting the whole thing - I also slipped down that dangerous slope from creator to consumer. Obviously, I haven't updated the story in the past couple weeks, and I have been trying to work at it, but the more I try, the more I realize there is a glaring issue that I'm having difficulty working past. In this case, it's Aurick. Alright, I'm officially pulling the story out of hiatus now. For those that haven't kept up to date. I've decided to redo the ending of the Invasion Arc after a lot of thought. So if you haven't already, I highly recommend reading the new chapter 68. Chapter 69 will be posted within the next day or two once I finish scrubbing it.

After a lot of thought, I've decided to rewrite the ending of the Invasion Arc. Meaning there will be a different ending than last time. If you're wondering why I chose to do this, it's because with the results from the new ending, there will be plenty of opportunities for character development, while the old one simply allowed me to return to the status quo for the most part.

The new versions will be denoted by the (Revised) in the title.

It took me a while, because of a lot of things happening recently. Either way, I finished rewriting Chapter 1, so I'd ask any who feel up to it, read the new version and tell what you think of it.

I think it's better than the previous incarnation, but I could very well be biased.

Now that the Changeling Invasion arc has been completed, Enchanted will be on hiatus. I plan to make good on my promises of improving the quality of the early chapters, as well as some of the later ones as well. I don't know how long this will take, but I'd wager about a month or so. I'll alert you all for when I return, as well as the changes I made.

Sorry for the slow work on a new chapter. Been working on the set up for a dnd campaign I'm running, and that's been consuming a good portion of my time. Hopefully I can get the next chapter out to you by the end of the week, but if I don't you have permission to yell at me.

Production of chapters is probably going to slow down a bit, as I finally have a job now. I'll still be working on it between work days, and on my days off, but I doubt I can return to my format of a chapter a day now.

I finally have my internet back. A friend of mine decided to mail me his spare adapter, like a bro. I shouldn't have any issues with writing for the foreseeable future.

Seeing as this is highly unlikely to ever be written, I wanted to share what this story was going to be before I changed it. Fairly drastically, I might add.

So as a recent development, my WiFi adapter started to work again. Though it only works for a couple hours at a time before it overheats and needs to be unplugged for a while. So hopefully, within that time, I can work on chapters.

Sadly, my Wi-Fi adapter has decided to die, and I don't have the ability to replace it for a while. This means that the only was I can update the story is by writing on my phone, and that's not the greatest thing for me.

Hopefully I can amend this issue before too long.

Still in the process of planning how this new arc is going to progress, and I don't have any ideas for the chapter today. There should still be one tomorrow, but for today I'm gonna have to plan some more.

I've been thinking about the direction my story has been taking, and I'm not exactly pleased with the quality of what's been written. A number of you seem to share my concerns with how the story has been going with Test Tube. I'm going to take a day away from writing to think on what I want to do with this. I might just retcon the last couple chapters and have the Character Development I want play out in a different way.

So, once again, the commentators seem rather displeased with how the last few chapters have turned out. Namely, with how the guard and Luna is portrayed as dumbasses that can't do anything. After some time to think on this, I decided to fix this, as that was not what I wanted. It's not a massive rewrite, but there are some new scenes and reasonings that would hopefully make these chapters up to par with the others. There's also a new character. The chapters in question are 26-29.
