I have just finished writing chapter nine and plan to edit it this weekend. It will be posted Monday at noon EST. This chapter turned out to be nearly 13,000 words long, so I split it up. So while you are looking at a smaller chapter this time (only about 4,000 words), the good news is that I'm nearly done with the next chapter, which I hope to post sometime the following week. I really really hate to do this, but I'm going to have to postpone the next chapter of Better than the Best. Again. My 2 year old just came down with the flu, and I've been much too busy to work on my stories. I'll get back to work as soon as I'm able, and will post the next chapter the instant it's done. So I just got a phone call a little while ago and found out that my boss is dead. He didn't show up for work and was found dead in his apartment. No one knows what happened. He was a great guy that I really really liked, not much older than I am, with two children that he adored. And just before Christmas... I don't even know how to respond to this news.
