Should I label The Alicorn King's Glare as AU? It was perfectly canon at the time, but then Season 5 happened. I want to do a sequel (kinda, sorta, not really) that keeps that fic in canon. I'd really like some thoughts on this.

The reason I worry about this is because the driving force for their character, throughout the entire fic, was... rather basic. I took two female characters and I made their entire motivation, however indirectly, be about a man.I boiled Luna's complex personality down to "Daddy Issues" and I Celestia barely got any screen time.
