Welp. Swimming lessons didn’t go as I expected, but in a good way. My friend wasn’t there, ‘cause turns out he signed up for a swim team, not lessons. As for me, I found myself surrounded by a buncha kids around 5-7 years younger than me.

The swimming lessons are just a refresher course for me, since the last time I had lessons was back when I was like, 8.

No random facts today. It’s a bit late where I am right now.

Even with a RAM boost, my oldest PC is still pretty slow. I mean, sure, it’s definitely several times faster compared to when it only had 64mb of RAM, but now the CPU is bottlenecking the entire freakin’ thing.

It’s actually becoming quite enjoyable to write adventure-heavy stories with a ton of worldbuilding/plotbuilding.

Once again, no facts. Those take too much time for me to pull off the top of my head. It was easy at first, but now I have to mentally sort through what I’ve used and what I haven’t.

Welp. I migrated most of everything to a 5 gig laptop hard drive I’ll be temporarily using on my first PC until get an SD to IDE adapter for some nice solid-state performance.

The Nvidia FX 5200 is bad enough that it can hardly play 480p videos at a decent framerate. I tell you this from personal experience. (Now I gotta find a decent PCI video card for a certain PC I’ve been slowly restoring.)

Random Fact: PGA CPUs, which have a Pin-Grid-Array connector, were once very common with off-the-shelf CPUs. Though, due to the nature of bent pins resulting in damaged processors, most chips today instead either use LGA sockets, which place the pins on the board, or are directly soldered to the board instead, making them non-replaceable.
