Back to having the good problem of really liking so much stuff I've seen lately that I'm overflowing with feature reviews and don't have enough else to fill out a blogpost. But I finally got 4! Features are a series from 2010, Angel Beats!, and another from just a couple of years ago, Wave, Listen to Me! Everything is exclamation points! Those and more after the break!
Still pleasantly surprised by most of the winter shows I opted to watch (but I'm gonna die waiting on the dub of The Dangers in My Heart). But hey, there are plenty of good shows from past seasons! To wit, features are both from 2018, a random comedy series, Asobi Asobase, and a drama movie whose title sounds nothing like that's what it will be, I Want to Eat Your Pancreas. Plus several more pretty good things and a few more YT shorts, after the break.
So I'm going over my anime list, the list being which anime I'm going to watch in some rough order, and I decided that I wanted to talk about it. More specifically, I want to know if there's anything that's not on this list that ought to be. This isn't an exact order, but it's how I'm going to attack the massive pile-up as of right now. *means I've already started.

I'm apparently 2 months late (only because I didn't know 4/01/1997 was the release date originally in Japan) but still.. 20 years!!!! That's insane!!! For those who may not know, I am a HUGE Pokemon fan! I've played all the games (exception: Sun and Moon) and my brother still has a incredibly LARGE card collection. So, in honor of this I present the original 1997 theme song!:

And it's pretty cool. It's like your typical RPG adventure game come to life plus all the gods of our mythology have joined the humans on their world to help them get stronger and even give the hero's names when they get stronger plus the MC (Main character) cracks me up with his screaming.
End of the fall season is in sight, and there have been several rather good shows this time—a nice step up from a ho-hum summer. So the problem of having too much good stuff will persist. But two more down this week, featuring a romance series from about a decade ago, Ao Haru Ride, and a short supernatural drama movie from a couple years ago, Summer Ghost. Those and some more pretty good stuff, after the break.
Some oddball stuff this week—I would have had enough for a post last week, but I discovered a series I'd finished had 2 sequels and several OVAs/specials, so... next time for those. Featured items are a recent series, Blue Period, and a movie from a decade ago, Wolf Children, after the break, plus four others that all rated as pretty good.
Chapter 1 is an animated thing with some things in the writing and some overexagerated things but the themes is there.

It occurred to me that I could go ahead and write up things I'm currently watching as I finish them so I don't forget things about them, and then just paste them in as I eventually get to them. As my father in law says, it's hard work being stupid. Those and several others, after the break.
Almost got to the end of the alphabet this week, but then I went and watched a few things that I liked a lot, so not quite. Featured items this week are a movie from roughly a decade ago, Colorful, and a series from last year. I'll give the English title up top since people might not recognize it by the Japanese one: After Being Rejected, I Shaved and Took in a High School Runaway. Featured items this week are Gunslinger Girl and Slayers, after the break. There are 2 series I was hoping to get finished so I could include them in this week's blog, but I couldn't quite get through them, and now I'm afraid I'm going to forget a couple of details I wanted to discuss on them. :( Next time, then, which would be... the 28th, between Christmas and New Year's. Not expecting much of an audience then, so I'll probably push it back a week.
Getting dangerously close to finishing the alphabet and deciding how to handle things once that happens. Still in the middle of a stretch where I didn't have much rated very good or excellent, so I'm just going to have one featured item again, but it's a really good one this time, and there are multiple entries in the continuity: Violet Evergarden. That and eight other mixed items after the break.
I've settled into every other Tuesday, which is a comfortable schedule, but I'm on vacation next week, so I might have the time to get another done then. We'll see.
Featured series this time are Assassination Classroom and Azumanga Daioh, plus quick-hit reviews of other shows from this region of the alphabet, after the break, and bonus review of Wasteful Days of High School Girls.
Ahhhh, I forgot again! At least I'm only a day late this time. I'm hitting a clump of items I liked a lot, meaning there aren't a lot of the short reviews to include. Featured ones this week are Dual! Parallel Trouble Adventure and Ergo Proxy, after the break.
More completed summer shows! In what may be an unpopular opinion, one of those is a feature this time, FLCL: Shoegaze, and I'll put FLCL: Grunge up with it just to keep them together, even though I didn't rate it highly. The other feature is a school romance series from 2017 called Tsuki ga Kirei. And more reviews of newly finished summer shows, after the break.
