Daniel Ingram composes the songs, and has continued to stay in the role even as his work has been divided between the show and the Equestria Girls shorts (and the occasional longer special). Admittedly, his works have become fewer and fewer in the show as a result, and last year at this time he seemed to be in something of a creative slump.
