Today is Daniel Ingram's birthday. He is the composer responsible for the many wonderful songs that have graced our ears in the years since this show first aired. And he did not disappoint with the movie. His overall track record may have been mixed, but when he hit a high, he really hit a high.
A shame I don't have much to say about any of his songs for Season 8 so far, even the best one "Your Heart is in Two Places" doesn't really much going for it. And considering Daniel's only doing either 6 or 8 songs for this season, I fear he may be suffering from creative burnout. But I guess when he has to continuiously deliver on songs, and the bar is set ever higher, it was bound to happen eventually.
Who knows though, there's still an entire half of Season 8 to go. He could still surprise me.
I hope he makes the background music stronger and more beautiful for the second movie. 😄
Also, Happy birthday to Daniel. 😊
4882652 William Anderson does the background score, most of the time. Daniel handles the songs. Still, it was nice to see him get to work with a full orchestra for the movie.

Damn, I have my own music in my head that I can hum, but I wanna make it real. It was gonna be part of my MLP story, but I don't do music, so I'm stuck XD Mine's very orchestra heavy in my mind, and I just wish I could turn it into real music. 😕
