The tenth chapter of Sunset in Ponyville is finally complete! Or, the first draft of it anyway. 872 words tonight puts it at 8,667 words total, and even though the chapter didn't really go in the direction I had intended for it so long ago, I think it still works.

Got another 1,108 words done today! Putting me at 3,205 for it! I'm plugging along quite nicely. And, perhaps, I've found the way forward I need for the chapter...

Words flowed better today in a sense, even if I only got 1,075 written. Dunno what to make of it exactly, but I'm not complaining.

We're just about two-thirds of the way through May, and I'm right on target with 20,494 words written. I hope the rest of you are meeting you own goals this month!

Just came back from four hours of laundry, so excuse if this is a bit brief and blunt[/s rambling]. My mind is just a bit overloaded.

Chapter #8 is now at 5896 words, about 60-65% done.

Don't let the word-count slash percent rating fool you. This is going to be a shorter chapter at about 7-8 K words, but still need quite a lot of polish to work exactly right.

I've mentioned this already, but in light of the resent crashing & burning of V1 of chapter #8 I've decided to hammer out the outline for the rest of the plot a bit more before pressing on.

So long-term it should let me do more fore-shadowing and make sure everything clicks a bit tighter, but right now its going to slow things a bit.
