-In EQG: Sunset Shimmer Steals Twilight's crown hoping to use its power to takeover the human world, but she accidentally loses it. In SFH, it is similar when the Rainbow Rod is stolen by Saphira of the Crystalites, and in the ensuing chaos she also drops the rod and loses it in the human world.

Despite people don't listen, I may as well write it down so I don't have keep repeating myself.
In Starfleet, it's not that they don't BELIEVE in friendship, because they do, just not the way Twilight and Friends do. They don't believe friendship is a bad thing... they are all god friends, they lookout for one another, and team up in battles too...
...It's just that what they DO know, from experience, is that sometimes you can't always rely on it... or it just isn't enough.

There are reasons I dislike Twilight Sparkle, her friends, and the entire MLP concept, (Which is why I make my starfleet fics to make a stance) and I'll do so in a matter similar to Quagmire hating Brian.
