Somewhat hidden in the year laden with scandal involving Milli Vanilli is the fact of another meeting involving Clive Davis: that which was made in Atlanta between him and the duo of Antonio "L.A." Reid & Kenneth "Babyface" Edmonds. The result, LaFace Records, had enough of a history that I will cover it sometime in the future (it helps that their releases didn't appear under Arista's normal numbering system).

OPENED UP: SHE'S HAVING A BABY, which I took out of the Japanese tape box; it's a CIC release from 1989. Comes with a top label and end label and hologram; comes in embossed case. Also . . . THERE IS NO TAPE INSIDE! 
MEANWHILE, ALSO OPENED UP: GARDENS OF STONE, which is the last tape from that box; a CBS/Fox release from 1988. Tape has CBS/Fox hologram on the back and label hologram on the tape itself.
OPENED UP:
- That Was The Year That Was, by Tom Lehrer, on the Reprise label, which hit #18 on the album charts in November 1965. Should be a fun listen.
- I'm All Yours, Baby! by Ray Charles, a Tangerine album that's also on ABC. Hit #167 on the album charts in April 1969.
OPENED UP:
- Sanyo FWZV475F, which is a VCR/DVD recorder that best hooks up via an HDMI cable.
Is it really a good idea to blame 2016 for the deaths of celebrities?
In my opinion, it's just stupid. I mean, yes, it is sad when people die, but it's not the year's fault. Instead of blaming the year, blame whatever took their lives.
Vote YES if you feel that 2016 is a year full of celebrity deaths, given how plentiful that list is.

Three of the openings are being done already. Would have done the openings to GALAXY QUEST and QUICK CHANGE but they are copy protected tapes and as such I will film them off the TV.

Picking up from the Connie Francis post I did on FIMFiction (https://www.fimfiction.net/blog/676681/record-offer-connie-francis-1985), I figured I would post a video of my copy of *Sentimental Favorites* one of the as-seen-on-TV albums that were discussed in the video showing an offering of Francis' records.
It's kind of the perfect time for this movie to come out for me, as I only started watching Breaking Bad two years(rushing through season 1 in one day because it was so captivating), and have seen every episode of Better Call Saul as well.
I am pumped for this. Expectations?
