Magnetic Videography - ITC

ITC was a British film and television company founded by Sir Lew Grade. Most releases featured an Associated Film Distribution logo, the American arm of ITC Entertainment, or else that of other local American distributors of ITC's films (such as a Columbia Pictures logo, a Fox logo [!], or an Avco Embassy logo [!]). One title (ESCAPE TO ATHENA) has the original ITC Film Distributors Ltd logo. There are also two that open with the ATV In Colour logo. Magnetic's first title from ITC Entertainment was 1979's THE MUPPET MOVIE. The tapes below open with the announcement: "By special arrangement with ITC Entertainment, Magnetic Video Corporation is proud to offer the following motion picture on videocassette"; they're owned by ITV Plc., who keeps going back and forth between Lions Gate Home Entertainment and Shout! Factory for video releases. The exception is held for the two MUPPET MOVIEs on here; they're owned by Disney.

Most of the tapes here had the text "MAGNETIC VIDEO - A TWENTIETH CENTURY-FOX COMPANY" in between two red bars at the bottom:

The earlier label was on earlier MUPPET MOVIE pressings.
