Chapter 10 Funeral for a King not Met has just released.
The death of King Eldoran Saillune brings James and his family along with Twilight, Rainbow Dash, and Applejack to Saillune. Starlight has come for the sorcerer's guild and library.
Past Mistakes are both repeated and feared. Confidence and mistrust can equally cause trouble, but friends can at least help if you lean on them in times of need.
Chapter 8: Reluctant Racer has been added to the story.
Zap Apple season once again comes to Sweet Apple Acres, and with a bit of help this year things should go a bit easier.
When Rainbow Dash comes along and turns the work into a race, a little known fact about Big Mac comes to light. This fact ignites Rainbow Dash's competitive spirit and she has to do something about it.
Another entry in the blog story section. Part of the story, just not added directly for various reasons.
Happy Halloween/Nightmare Night everyone.
Rainbow Dash pranced excitedly through the halls of New Guardia castle as she went over her date idea. She was certain she was introducing James to something new. Or rather she was certain this would be new for him. Before long she took to the air as she made her way closer to James' study.
Just dropped Chapter 7: Communication Problem.
Rainbow Dash gets a couple surprises, and even has one for James. Though not all of said surprises were planned.
Slowly the wheels turn. But they turn all the same.
There is a text message conversation in this chapter and I hope I did a decent job depicting it.
In the next chapter, it's Zap Apple season.
This is kind of a between chapters thing, not really enough to merit it's own place in the story.
I actually had a different idea about this, having James watching memories of his daughters being cute children and saying "I love you." Leading into kind of bittersweet depression with him. I may write that later, but I enjoyed this more at the moment.
Still working on my writing too. There's just been some personal complications slowing the whole thing up. And if you like these kind of blog entries,
you can check out Fallout Dude 50 who does these a lot more and better than I.
Sounds of laughter and playful shouting could be heard in the air on Truce's outskirts. Rainbow Dash flying through the air carrying a ball and looking at the two girls running along beneath her.
Sara, catch! *Rainbow Dash threw the ball up in the air, catching it with her tail before spinning and clumsily slinging it generally in Sara's direction.*
*whispering to herself* Damn. Just how does Fluttershy do that?
My Brain:
Wow, you know what? This would be a great idea, and it could go in this direction, or even that direction. And it fits perfectly too. You should write this down as soon as possible.
My brain the moment I start writing:
Anoter Blog like Fallout Dude 50's. Sometimes I just feel like writing one of these.
James was looking over his garden early in the morning, sipping his coffee as he inspected the leaves and blossoms for their health. From behind him a gentle voice quietly spoke.
Hello, James.
Good morning, Fluttershy. Would you like some tea?
I just posted a new Chapter to A Balance of Fire and Light.
This chapter is all about Rainbow Dash and James, and I wanted to try my hand at writing something a little different.
I'll be getting to something a bit more normal for me in a little bit.
This entry to the blog story is a bit darker than my normal stuff.
Spike walked into the kitchen where a woman sat quietly waiting. Her straight silver hair draped down her back with her long pointed ears poking through. She was only slightly shorter than Lucca, but her meek posture made her appear much smaller than she was.
Sorry to make you wait, Alicia.
That's quite alright, Mr. Spike.
I meant to have this up yesterday, but frustratingly enough my stomach decided to be a royal pain. So here it is today instead. It is a little out of place in the timeline of things, but most of these posts for me are a bit disjointed from the story. Also, check out Fallout who inspired these kind of quick slice of life posts.
Chapter four of A Balance of Fire and Light is out now.
Starlight's dinner with Sunburst turned out poorly, and during a session with Rainbow Dash she confessed what happened.
Wanting to help her friend, Rainbow Dash suggests that she join her for a game night at James'. Something fun to take her mind off things. It just so happens that game involves piloting giant fighting robots.
This helps, but Starlight's mind doesn't stay on just the game.
Chapter two had a bit of a surprise with a new pony showing up, and this chapter adds another angle to the whole situation.
But friends are good for hearing you out, especially when you're feeling down.
In Chapter 3: Helping Friends
It's a normal Day in Ponyville.
Sunburst is coming by for a visit and this has Starlight excited. She's been taking with Rainbow Dash about relationships for a while now and thinks it's time she starts one of her own.
However, the appearance of a red mare complicates things.
I'm taking this story a little slower in both posting and pacing than I did with The Line. I hope this works out well.
