Take a minute to be kind to someone today, even if that someone is you. We all need a little more kindness, giving and receiving.

Anoter Blog like Fallout Dude 50's. Sometimes I just feel like writing one of these.

James was looking over his garden early in the morning, sipping his coffee as he inspected the leaves and blossoms for their health. From behind him a gentle voice quietly spoke.

Hello, James.

Good morning, Fluttershy. Would you like some tea?

Oh, that would be lovely. Uhm, also, I was wondering if, just maybe, I could possibly get some of those essential oils.

Sure. What would you like?

Oh, Angel's been feeling sick, so something that will help a bunny feel better.

*James stops mid-stride and looks down at the pony smiling up at him.*

Uhm. Fluttershy. It's just oil, it can't treat anything.

Oh. Well, Tree Hugger told me that it's the best thing you can use. And you always use it with massages.

I use it because it smells nice and it's not too strong. That's all it's good for.

Oh, Tree Hugger told me all about what she uses it for. She treats everything with it, but it has to be the right kind of oils.

*Under his breath.* Of course she would. *Back at a normal tone.* Fluttershy, this stuff doesn't have any healing properties, if it did we'd just call it medicine. People hurt themselves and others when they buy into this.

*Shrinking back.* Oh, really? Tree Hugger just started talking to me about this, so I was just going to try it.

It's okay Fluttershy. I understand being hesitant about conventional medicine, especially when someone offers an alternative that's just too good to be true. Promising only good side effects, no side effects at all, or magical explanations. ... And yes, I see the irony in talking about magical explanations when I literally use magic to heal people.

That's right, you study magic. Maybe there's something about the oils you can test.

I already did. You can read my test logs if you like. … Since we're talking about magic anyway, why not ask Zecora for help? She's good with potions and poultices.

*Shifting uncomfortably.* Oh, uhm, she didn't think the oils would work either.

I see. Well we can talk to doctors if you need more studies about how the oil doesn't work.

*Quietly*No, that's alright. I didn't know they wouldn't work. Tree Hugger just promised me that they would.

*James stopped and knelt down, giving Fluttershy a kind smile.*There's nothing wrong with not knowing. But I am glad that you talked to Zecora and I about it. I'd hate for anything to happen because you didn't know.

I don't think Tree Hugger would lie though.

*James stood back up and the two continued walking.* I don't think she did lie. It's most likely that she didn't know either. Or didn't trust someone telling her it wouldn't work. Any way, if Tree Hugger or some of her other friends suggest something … Maybe ask Twilight or I about it. If we don't know either, we can learn about it together. Okay?

*Smiling* Okay.

*James stops once again in his tracks.* We were getting tea. Weren't we?

*giggles* Yes we were.
