My little brother and I were just in my room, with me playing a high-stakes round of BTD battles that was clearly steering towards a win for me with a 1000 medallion reward, and my brother watching youtube videos on my computer.

I’m just trying to install the Microsoft Office compatibility pack for Office XP so I can open newer documents, but the 30 megabyte file is estimated to be finished downloading in almost ten minutes.

It takes on average, about three to five minutes to load a google search over the internet here.

I have homework to do, and sometimes the textbooks don't contain the information I'm looking for.

The worksheets are updated faster than the textbooks are.

During that time I built a burning tribute to Comcast's suckiness in the nether of my minecraft building world.

Turn on computer, start doing homework, realize that the internet's down, curse Comcast and Ajit Pai, wait for internet to work again, continue doing homework.

Rinse and repeat indefinitely.

The first thing I'm gonna do once I'm done with college is move back to the small tech boom-town of Lehi where there's actual competition between ISPs that would at least leave lower prices and higher quality service than Comcast and their duopoly with Centurylink here in the next city over.

Meaning I can pretty much forget about trying to play on a Minecraft server. Considering how Net Neutrality is officially dead now as well, I'd have to say that I don't think I'll be seeing a decent amount of gameplay on a server ever again until I can find a better ISP. Too bad Comcast is the only choice here where I live.

I'm posting this during the tiny window of internet access that I currently have, and speaking of internet, it's been literally down all freakin' day.

FREAKIN' DIE ALREADY, COMCAST.

Whenever I get a new router or some other device to possibly help my internet issues, (such as the router I brought from my old house,) the internet will suddenly work flawlessly for almost exactly one day, before returning to dropping out every so often and general slowness for every day after that.

I call shenanigans.

There's a mild drizzle outside right now. The rain's mostly stopped, but MY FREAKIN' INTERNET WENT DOWN FOR NEARLY HALF AN HOUR.

Minecraft servers keep dropping connections, or are unable to connect at all.

Normally, I'm not one to swear, but taking HALF AN HOUR TO LOAD A SINGLE SITE is CROSSING THE LINE.

And on top of THAT, I'm currently blocked by one of my closest friends, I've lost my earbuds, my homework is beginning to pile up from my internet outages again, and it turns out that our team is currently behind schedule in the upcoming AMES Robotics competition.

Sorry for the rapid blog-stream. Just after I posted the blog ranting about my internet going out, it came back on again, and the page that timed out on my computer reloaded.

It's creepy, as if Comcast knows that you're complaining, and grant you access to the internet again just to lull you into believing that they're tolerable for a 1-year contract span.
