I'm trying to think of names for different nations and I don't want them to be silly.

Key nations I'm trying to figure out are "saddle arabia", "Zebrica", and "Griffonia".

Any ideas?

Mmm...Have you tried saying them in foreign languages; let alone writing them?

EX: Like Zulu means heavens or just heaven in African. Dion and Crete mean Zeus in different Greek languages. And Gaia/Terra are different words for Earth.

Zebrica is just the fanon name. Pony Africa/Zebra homeland is Farasi.

The show crew wanted to do an episode in the zebra lands, but never managed to do so. They were going to call it Girafrica.

African isn’t a language. That’s like saying “kawaii” means “cute” in Asian, or “bonjour” means “hello” in European. Lmaooooooo :rainbowlaugh:

Just trying to help based off my knowledge of what I've learned long ago.

Many places are named in a less imaginary way. You just take the language and translate from "big creek place" or "high rock", or "bendy river villiage".

Tons of places are named after native American words where tribes used to reside. Even places that are more german, french, or other is also this way.
