How would Assassins get to Japan during the age of samurai when they seem to only go from the middle east to the western world.

Well, that's implying we don't know if they ever went West across the world when in fact in various lore outside of the games there have been Assassin's and Templars from eastern cultures. I even have a physical version of a comic that I got from when I purchased Assassin's Creed Brotherhood that feautrues a Russian assassin.

Even in the short movie detailing the death of Ezio Auditore, there is a Chinese assassin that goes to him for training as I recall.

Now, from there it is a simple run across some water to Japan.

Feudal Japan is also the Templar's dream country due to it's governmental structure of Daimyos and Shogun. Pretty much all authority was placed in the hands of warlords that all answered to another far mroe powerful warlord that served the emperor. With that, there is an entire class of people (samurai) who are meant to enforce the will of said rules and operate the military.

And you may be saying:

"but Ninjas are the bst thing evar!!!11 there so leet and kool!1!"

No they weren't. Ninjas were basically peasents that trained in secret and gained their weapons in secret (As the selling of pretty much all weapons to commoners was illegal) and were rarely employed by said Daimyos to complete tasks for them in their campagins against other clans.

Ninjas were not going to be able to take on the Daimyos and the Shoguns of Japan, especially since all of those positions were hereditary and even if the full blodline was wiped out, another would just take said position based on connections with the Shogun.

And before you say:

"Oh, just go kill the Shogun then!"

The Shogun is simply appointed by the emperor. If you kill one, then the emperor will simply pick another, or the Shogun's heir shall take over.

If you're going to take that shit apart, you've got to take out the emperor... good luck with that. And even then, you'll have to wipe out a bloodline which can also be replaced by another family if it truly need to be.

TL;DR, the Japanese government of the time was simply a Templar's dream and an Assassin's nightmare.

3864099 actually, assassins and templars are all over the world

3864264 How? Were they formed by the precursor race?

3864099 A person could say that Shao Jun's influence to the Brotherhood established orders across all of Asia.

3864277 dont really know, but after the public downfall of the knights templar, the remaining few scattered around the globe, and began operating in the shadows

It was stated somewhere in one of the games that after Assassins Creed one that Altiar traveled the globe to either start or discipline other Assassin groups.

With the Christian influence on the world and it spreading the world over to become the world's largest religion, the Templar's would have no problem infiltrating feudal Japan. The Assassin's would only require one Master Assassin to have to have traveled there and established an Assassin's guild or brought influence of the Creed to the citizens there.
