I mean, there were some bad ones, the music was off sync at many points... but those overexaggerated moments and references.

It's been a while since I laughed to Looney Tunes, and that psychotic look of shaving and Ryuko crossdressing really did it for me.

Reminds me of some of the collabs you see on channels like Hyun's Dojo or Ferexes. They all have a slightly (sometimes quite substantially) different art style, and it makes the whole production... quite treat, might I just say.
