Am I the only one who’s been frequently noting how loopy, disorganized, & inconsistent G5’s continuity as a series is? Especially in contrast to the claims of it being tighter than G4’s?

For instance, Chapter 2’s “The Traditional Unicorn Sleepover”, the second issue of the G5 comic, and Chapter 5’s “The Isle of Scaly” each gave a different backstory as to why the Unity Crystals were created, the disappearance of magic, and the splitting of the tribes. And, “Tell Your Tale” is supposed to be officially canon with “Make Your Mark”, yet both series have a different depiction of how Opaline is defeated despite their similarities; “Tell Your Tale” also mentions a pony civilization called Pony Tropico, yet “Make Your Mark” says that Maretime Bay, Bridlewood, and Zephyr Heights are the only pony-based cities.
