That would be amazing, but lets not get carried away. The writers of season 9 already ruined a perfectly good redemption opportunity for those three, there's nothing to suggest that the comic writers can't do the same. Best to go in with caution to avoid disappointment.

I don't pay much attention to the comics, so this doesn't really mean a lot to me.

I do find it interesting that someone would bother to dig them up. But you're right in that it doesn't mean the writer has reformation in mind.

Even if they do, it doesn't mean that the run will last long enough for us to see it.

But I'm still skeptical, that the comic industry has the kind of courage and creativity to do it right. (Especially given what I've heard about IDW's quality of writing in general.)

Still we can hope for better, even if the worse case scenario is just as likely. It would be hard to top Seasons 8 and 9, for sheer moral and emotional disconnect, but not impossible.

So I'll remain skeptical, until the sequels actually do something worthwhile.
