5873766 Do a blog series like your empire vs empire one.

5873787 ep 8 looks fucking awesome

5873766
So like
Time Commanders?

5873766 I want this very, very badly.

5873766
Definitely would watch

5873766 So... it's like Spike TV's deadliest warrior? If anything I'd make it a bit like Command Decisions except make it an hour long still giving the choices of options of what to doing then explaining why the choices the audience made were right or wrong.

5873835 Well you'd have to get the right experts. Spike TV failed at that at epic proportions.

5873766 Another battle idea: Erwin Rommel vs. Robert E. Lee.

5873766 I remember in the Summer of 2009 there used to be a block of Nazi related programs on H2 (RIP) ever Sunday

5873864 Rommel uses his tanks to run over confederate infantry. there is no realistic way could Robert E Lee face off in any non guerrilla battle against Rommel.

5873876 and the weapons part was all filler. The battles were all people watched deadliest warrior for. Don't get me wrong Deadliest warrior is entertaining to watch. They'd need to focus on who the commanders were and how they won their battles.

5873766
Isoroku Yamammoto (Combined Fleet 1942) vs Chester Nimitz (US Pacific Fleet 1943)
Erwin Rommel (Army Group B 1944) vs Georgy Zhukov (1st Belorussian Front 1944)

5873859 "Let's have Ninjas fight Spartans and the IRA vs the Spetsnaz. What could go wrong?"

5873912 just trying to be helpful with ways to make such a show a viable historical program.

5873916 Surprisingly the ira vs spetsnatz one makes more sense than ninja vs spartan. because the ira would stand a better chance than a ninja vs a spartan.

5873926 Yeah but I'd rather have another Spec Ops group go against the Spetsnaz. Then again, who would the IRA fight? They weren't well known back then, but I guess having the IRA fight ISIS would make sense now.

5873940 They should've waited until they introduced more.

5873943 I didn't like how Navy SEALS vs Israeli Commandos ended

5873950 GSG-9 vs SWAT and Teddy Roosevelt vs Lawrence of Arabia was pretty bullshit too.

That idea you had, go talk to History Channel. Tell them your idea, it would be amazing to watch.

I also miss shows like Battle 360 and Patton 360. Greatest Tank Battles was a nice little substitute (Even though it's in the American Heroes Channel), but it's a little biased towards the Germans.

5873766 Oh hey look History Channel, I love history! Changes channel to Viasat History

Anyway fun idea, honestly this fixes what bothered me about Deadliest Warrior. Send army against army! Have a commander planing the damn strategy and tactics.

No idea for my pitch. I would say show about various historical tanks but I think that already exists. If it doesn't then what is wrong with them!

My Pitch: "Action Stations!" (Working title)

Since man first took to the waves, our world's oceans have become a battleground, its surface stained with blood, scorched by flame, and its floor scattered with the decaying hulks of some of history's most famous--and infamous--fighting ships. Through computer generated imagery, expert analysis, and incredible first-hand accounts of the men who took part in them, the most destructive clashes of naval history are brought back to life; from the Triremes of Ancient Greece, to the ships of line that defined the Napoleonic age, to the dreadnoughts and carriers of the two world wars.

Got another maritime related series in mind, this one profiling shipwrecks and more or less inspired by shows like Deep Sea Detectives, The Sea Hunters, Deep Wreck Mysteries etc... Some famous disasters will of course be featured, but lesser known tragedies will get the spotlight as well. Each episode will present the history behind the ship featured as well as the circumstances of its loss, the aftermath, its legacy, and information about the wreck (if the vessel has been found). The format would probably be similar to that of Action Stations, yet this time around, re-enactments would also be used. The title is, In Peril on the Sea.
